Foster Tech Club’s mission is to strengthen the tech community at Foster by creating accessible and interactive programming. We want to help students explore the space where business, technology, and innovation meet. Our goal is to support students wherever they are on their journey, whether they are pivoting into tech, growing their technical skills, or simply curious about how technology shapes modern business.
This year, we will offer a wide range of programming driven by student interest. You can expect product workshops, industry treks, innovation sprints, alumni panels, AI learning sessions, and group events that reflect the exact needs of our community. AISHWARYA HARSHAN

Born and raised in Bangalore, India, Aishwarya spent seven years in Melbourne working across product operations, portfolio management, and risk compliance at ANZ, where she also led AI‑enabled transformation initiatives. As Tech Club co-president, she looks forward to helping incoming MBA students explore the tech landscape and discover roles that fit their interests. Outside of work, she loves backpacking and badminton. Ask her for a unique itinerary if you’re planning a trip to Australia.
MEHAK MITTAL

Mehak brings 5+ years of experience spanning software engineering and product management across JPMorgan Chase and a retail-tech startup. She has built cloud infrastructure platforms serving a majority of JP Morgan's global workforce, and launched AI/ML-powered self-checkout products. As VP of Professional Development, Mehak is focused on creating meaningful opportunities for students to bridge the gap between business and technology. Outside of work, Mehak loves dancing, playing badminton, and hiking.
SHAURYA KUMAR

Hailing from Assam, India, Shaurya studied Computer and Communication Engineering. He spent seven great years at Oracle working as a software engineer and product manager focused on health tech. Now, as Co President of the Tech Club, he is eager to build tech fluency across the cohort and connect students with industry leaders. In his free time, Shaurya is always happy to chat about soccer, discuss new movies, or share his favorite food spots.

Sid brings 6+ years of experience at Salesforce, where he worked across CRM, B2B SaaS, and Martech products, leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise solutions for clients across industries. His background includes product strategy, stakeholder management, customer engagement and people leadership, with a strong focus on AI-driven enterprise technology and scalable solutions.

Sourav Kumar hails from India, and spent 7 years working as an engineer and Tech Lead at The D. E. Shaw Group, a quantitative hedge fund. Sandeep Kumar is from Delhi, India and spent 7 years at SanDisk (Western Digital) as a firmware engineer and product manager in the Embedded Storage division, serving automotive, mobile, IoT, and hyperscaler customers. Now pursuing his MBA at the Foster School of Business, he looks forward to contributing towards professional development and career progression within the Tech community at Foster. Outside of school, he enjoys strength training, playing badminton & chess, strumming his guitar, and watching horror movies.

Born in India and raised in the UAE, Akansha has a background in Computer Science, with 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer in Amazon Web Services. She has worked on end-to-end product development, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions for services and the supply chain planning for data centers. As part of Tech Club, she’s excited to help students explore tech-business careers and make tech roles more accessible. Outside of work, she loves making music and art, and exploring restaurants around the city.

Vaibhav hails from India with a bachelor’s in engineering. Pre-MBA, he worked broadly across product management and analytics at Flipkart, India’s biggest e-commerce company, building and scaling their FinTech product. Post-MBA, he aims to continue his career in Product Management. As the VP of Talent Development, he’s excited to provide all resources and guidance for tech recruiting. Outside of classes, he’s excited to play sports, board games, watch movies, or plan a scuba dive.
SARRAH RENFRO

Sarrah is a first-year Foster MBA pivoting into Product Management after years of computer engineering at Boeing, T-Mobile, and Microsoft, which is a fancy way of saying she has opinions about Jira. She writes Sarrah's Sandbox, a Substack that translates AI for people who'd rather not read another LinkedIn post about "synergy," and builds side projects at a pace that suggests she does not understand how weekends work. In her free time (a theoretical concept), she's hand-soldering mechanical keyboards, planning her next Asia trip, or debating whether she can justify a one-hundredth visit to a Disney park. Fun fact, shes been to every single park globally!

Born in New Delhi, India, Shruti started her career as a Senior Software Engineer, working with large financial institutions to build digital solutions at a tech consulting firm. Now at Foster, she’s exploring how business and strategy come together in the tech world. As VP of Corporate Relations, she’s excited to connect students with companies and make those interactions genuinely useful, helping them gain real insights into the industry beyond the classroom. Outside of school, she enjoys photography, reading, trying new food, planning trips she may or may not take, and having long conversations about career paths and life decisions.

Originally from Chennai, India, Vivek worked for 6 years in Sales and Solution Consulting roles in the B2B SaaS industry, helping organizations implement AI-powered software solutions for sales, marketing, customer support, and IT Service Management. As the VP of Alumni Affairs, he hopes to help students network and form meaningful connections with alumni from target companies. Outside of work and the MBA, Vivek loves reading and gaming - ask him for indie game and sci-fi book recommendations.
SWETHA KANUBODDI

Swetha Kanuboddi comes with varied experience across software, private equity, and edtech, and has a growing interest in early-stage AI entrepreneurship. She began her career at Microsoft, building security and compliance products for global clients and then built new digital businesses for banking, financial-services and healthcare clients. Building zero-to-one digital products sparked her interest in how companies use product-led-growth to scale. At Foster, she hopes to work in product roles with founders building in AI and tech. Outside of school, she enjoys listening to podcasts and exploring museums.

Born in Kerala and raised across India, Udit Raj holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and built pre-MBA experience in product management at startups. As VP of Community Engagement, he aims to enhance club members' experience through AWS course collaborations, company treks, and happy hours that bring connection to each quarter. Outside work, he enjoys badminton and cricket, and is always up for talking about cooking great Indian food or swapping favorite recipes.

Jess worked as a Product Manager in the tech industry prior to Foster, where she led cross-functional teams and laptop product launches. As the VP of Community Engagement, she looks forward to helping build a more connected Tech Club community, where people can meet, share experiences, and get to know each other beyond classes and recruiting. Outside of work, she enjoys running, going to parks, trying new restaurants, and enjoying a glass of wine (or two) with friends.

Ionut Trestian is a software development engineer at Goldman Sachs with over 14 years of experience building technology platforms across finance and cloud computing. He previously worked at Amazon in both retail and AWS organizations. Holding graduate degrees in Computer Science from Northwestern University, his interests span technology leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational transformation. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Washington to further develop strategic and executive leadership capabilities.
