About
Challenge for Charity (C4C) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that draws on the talents, energy, and resources of MBA students to support Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other family-related local charities. The purpose of the organization is to develop business leaders with a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.
The 2026-2027 MBA Challenge for Charity organization enters its 43rd year in which MBA students compete in fundraising, volunteering, and athletic events in pursuit of the coveted Golden Briefcase.

Leadership & Events
JUSTIN WANG
Co-President
Full-time Class of 2027
Justin brings 4+ years of experience in B2B EdTech, where he led new client acquisition, managed enterprise relationships, and built marketing campaigns to drive sustainable pipeline growth. Most recently, he built the outbound business development function from scratch at a boutique consulting firm specializing in leadership development and coaching.
This summer, he's joining Xemelgo, an exciting RFID software startup, as a Product Marketing Intern. His background spans GTM strategy, account management, business development, and product marketing, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS and customer-focused enterprise solutions.
STEPHANIE SUN
Co-President
Full-time Class of 2027
Stephanie is a recently returned Seattle native, having spent most of her childhood in the Broadview area and the intervening years in Pittsburgh, Albuquerque, southern California, and Portland. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies from Pomona College and an MFA in Applied Craft and Design from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Over a 7+ year career in the art world, she has led a contemporary artist’s studio and production team, taught art critique courses for graduate students, and managed projects and exhibitions for a contemporary art museum.
Stephanie came to Foster to pivot into healthcare, inspired by her parents’ lifelong careers and her own long-simmering interest in the industry, and to build her business acumen. Her passions for social impact, community involvement, and communications show up in her leadership roles at Foster, where she is co-President of Challenge for Charity (C4C), a Fritzky Fellow, and VP of Evening Engagement & Community for the Foster Marketing Association. This summer, she will intern at Seattle Children’s Hospital on their Brand & Creative Services team. Outside of school, Stephanie leads an AAPI book club and enjoys time with her family, friends, and dog, Min.
IAN McADAMS
Vice President, Auction & Procurement
Full-time Class of 2027
Ian comes to Seattle from San Francisco and brings nearly a decade of experience in B2B tech marketing, with a focus on strategy, planning, and operations, alongside hands-on work across content, creative, and digital marketing. He studied English at UC Berkeley and chose to attend the Foster School of Business to build a more formal foundation in his chosen field and continue growing as a marketing leader. This summer, Ian will join Microsoft as a Product Marketing Management intern.
At Foster, Ian is passionate about shaping the student experience through leadership and community-building. In addition to C4C, he is President of the Foster Marketing Association, VP of Career Development for the MBAA, and a Fritzky Fellow. Outside of school and work, he enjoys going on runs, watching scary movies, and spending time with friends at bars and concerts.
MALLORY WALLACE
Vice President, Technology & Finance
Full-time Class of 2027
Originally from Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas, Mallory brings seven years of experience in investment operations, with a focus on financial analysis and portfolio administration. She studied Finance as an undergraduate and chose to attend the Foster School of Business to build a stronger foundation in corporate finance and make the pivot into the tech industry. This summer, Mallory will join Microsoft as a Treasury and Payments intern.
At Foster, Mallory has been involved in C4C as Auction VP, the Finance Society, the Foster Ambassador program, and is a Fritzky Fellow. She cares deeply about the student community and finds meaning in the leadership and service opportunities Foster has to offer. When she's not enjoying the beautiful campus, you can find her hiking, hunting down a new restaurant, or planning her next trip
DIPANKAR MOHANTY
Vice President, Sports
Full-time Class of 2027
Originally from Delhi, Dipankar is a STEM-MBA candidate at the Foster School of Business and is incredibly excited to serve as the VP of Sports for C4C this year. Before coming to Foster, he spent his career in tech consulting and large-scale project management. He is a piano player, a massive soccer enthusiast, and an active member of the Foster Run Club. Dipankar is thrilled to bring his passion for sports and wellness to the board, be sure to say hi!
JESS HUANG
Chair, Special Olympics of Washington
Full-time Class of 2027
Originally from Taiwan, Jess has 4+ years of experience in the consumer tech industry. Prior to Foster, she worked as a Product Manager at ASUS, where she managed premium laptop product strategy, planning, launches, and regional sales strategy for global markets.
At Foster, Jess is involved in Challenge for Charity (C4C) as the Chair for Special Olympics of Washington and serves as the VP of Community Engagement for the Foster Tech Club. She enjoys building fun and inclusive experiences within the MBA community.
Outside of school, Jess enjoys running, going to parks, trying new restaurants, and a glass of wine (or two) with friends.
NICOLE TAN
Chair, University District Food Bank
Full-time Class of 2027
Nicole grew up in Singapore and completed her undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Washington. She has 4+ years of experience in luxury hospitality with a focus on revenue strategy and membership development. She decided to return to her alma mater for her MBA to build core finance skills and pivot into the asset management space. This summer, she will be returning to Singapore to join Frasers Property Limited as a Treasury Intern.
At Foster, Nicole is involved in C4C as the University District Food Bank Chair and the Foster Ambassador program. Outside of school, you can find her trying out new cafes and restaurants, attending wine tastings, and travelling.
SOHAM MEHROTRA
Chair, Boys & Girls Club of King County
Full-time Class of 2027
Born in India, Soham brings 5 years of tech and product experience at JPMorgan Chase, where he developed expertise in infrastructure automation applications.
At Foster, he's VP of International Affairs, a Fritzky Fellow, and chairs the Boys & Girls Club for C4C. He's genuinely invested in making the transition smoother for incoming students and ensuring they have a great experience at Foster.
He is really passionate about playing sports like basketball, enjoys dance and music, and had a brief stint in dramatics during his undergraduate studies.
TANUSHREE LAHIRY
VP of Community Outreach
Tech Management MBA, Class of 2027
Tanushree Lahiry is a Product Manager at Amazon Devices leading Kindle in Canada and Mexico, with over six years of experience driving P&L growth across industry, managing a portfolio of iconic products such as the Kindle Paperwhite. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Washington Foster School of Business in Supply Chain Management (’22) and is an ongoing candidate in the Technology MBA program (’27). Beyond her corporate achievements, Tanushree is a professional Indian classical dancer active in the Pacific Northwest and will be performing at Disney World this fall.
At Foster, Tanushree serves as the VP of Community Outreach, combining her passion for student engagement with service. Along with her husband Soham (UW Paul G. Allen PhD ’27), she is actively invested in enriching the UW community through cultural exchanges, mentorship, and local community outreach.
Sports Days
C4C Sports Day is the culmination of a year’s worth of volunteering and fundraising efforts for our core charities – Special Olympics Washington, the Boys and Girls Club of King Country, and the University District Food Bank. First and second year students come together to compete in various sporting events over the course of several days and vie for the C4C Trophy. Sports Days also honors the volunteer with the most hours volunteered over the entire year, in addition to the best all-around performance at Sports Days and the class year team with the most competition wins.
Alumni Auction
The annual C4C Auction in February is our biggest fundraising event at Foster. All proceeds of this entirely student-organized event go to our core charities – Special Olympics Washington, Boys and Girls Clubs of King County, and the University District Food Bank. In 2026 we raised over $124,000 for these charities. This is possible only because of the generous support from you—our donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
