How do we help you unleash your inner creative beast? Here are some of the things we do together.

  • Workshops – From presentation skills to graphic design, we’ll help you merge your right and left brains to help build skills applicable in and out of the workplace.

  • Community Events – Get to know your classmates by joining us for wine and paint nights, photography outings, and more.

  • No Free Lunch –  Both a party band and an institution, No Free Lunch is the MBA band and a key part of the Foster experience. We play several shows throughout the year, including an annual house party, before we absolutely crush it at the C4C Sports Weekend closing party.

  • Speaker Series – Foster Creative plans to bring in various speakers from the creative community to talk about working with creatives or managing creativity as an integral part of your career.

Leadership
BEN SCHWARTZ CO- PRESIDENT Ben was born in rural Texas – at the end of dusty, weathered road that time seemed to forget. Orphaned at birth, he was raised by drifters and moonshiners and quickly learned to wield a pool stick to win both a few dollars and the occasional dustup. Ben also enjoys science fiction novels and writing short stories and has been labeled as having “an overactive imagination, particularly in recalling his childhood”. As President of Foster Creative, Ben’s priority is to ensure MBA students understand how to leverage creativity in building their MBA skill set. While the MBA experience is undoubtedly about building quantitative knowledge, the best candidates employ rarer soft skills like presentation design, public speaking, and innovative problem solving. Foster Creative aims to highlight these skills and give members the opportunity to diversify their MBA tool kit, network with creative professionals, and explore the creative things that interest them and make them unique.

ROHAN SEBASTIAN VP Hailing from Springfield, VA, Rohan moved to the West Coast not only for Foster, but for partaking in Seattle’s lush creative culture. As a long time fan of the 90s alternative and grunge scene, Rohan enjoys digging into deep cuts of his favorite bands, such as Seattle’s own Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. Dabbling in guitar, bass, and drums, Rohan thrives in learning about how various tones and beats fit together into musical composition. He also is an accomplished public speaker with previous acting experience as a mock trial expert witness. While business school can be heavily driven by quantitative analysis and numbers, Rohan believes that creativity plays a crucial role in delivering innovative and fresh ideas to the market and hopes to make Foster Creative a useful way to deliver value for his classmates.
