About

Welcome to the Leadership and Management Society (a.k.a. the “Human Capitalists”)! We are a student-led club whose mission is to prepare Foster MBA students with the human capital knowledge and people-management skills they will need to thrive in their immediate post-MBA careers.

While the MBA core curriculum covers leadership and organizational behavior at a high level, we aim to deliver programming that is more tactical than theoretical, building on core management coursework with practical skills. Additionally, for students who are interested in exploring careers in human capital, we organize student-led HR and human capital treks.

NIDHI AGARWAL VICE PRESIDENT I grew up right outside Philadelphia, but spent the last 9 years in Boston where I attended undergrad and then worked for 5 years. My first job out of college was in an analytics development program which molded me into the business person I am today. This program is where my interest in leadership and management stemmed from, as someone who was lucky enough to be part of a leadership and mentorship program I experienced first hand the impact a strong leader and mentor can have on a person. In my spare time you can usually find me at a thrifting.

PRASHANT RANA VICE PRESIDENT I am Software Product Professional with over 7 years of work experience prior to my MBA. I have worked with users across businesses to build products which can make life easier for them. While I was based out of India, I have worked with customers and teams across the US, Canada, Europe and Asia. This diverse perspective has shaped a great deal of my professional journey. Managing and guiding teams across continents, especially when not afforded with advantages of in-person connects, takes a keen leadership desire and spirit which needs to be expressed not only though the work products delivered but also in all means of communication. I truly believe in what Simon Sinek says about leadership, i.e., “Leadership is a way of thinking, a way of acting and, most importantly, a way of communicating. ” and look to enhance this aspect through the MBA program.
